Community webcasts about Service Pack 2

Windows MVP and Expert Zone Columnist Charlie Russel is presenting a series of webcasts on the Microsoft Support site, discussing how Windows XP users can get Service Pack 2 and install it on their computers. He updates the presentation each week to cover top SP2 issues being discussed in the online community.

This is the first attempt by a Windows XP MVP at using the Live Meeting technology and webcasts as a community forum for end users on the Microsoft sites. Charlie has done a remarkable job on his presentation. Webcasts are a good community forum for people who prefer to get information in a visual and more structured format than newsgroups or chats provide. Tell your friends about it.

I have a new laptop and just turned on the automatic updates. I don't see service pack 2 in the download history. Each time I check for updates the Microsoft site indicates there are none. Any ideas?

I installed SP2 and it shut off my audio and disabled my printer. I called gateway and we were unable to get these items back: so I uninstalled SP2 and all now works well. What is the cause?

There are many resources available on the Expert Zone and other sites to help answer SP2 questions.

Some of the best options:

Ask questions in the Windows XP Newsgroups.

Ask questions in the Expert Zone chat room.

Search for articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=windowsxpsp2

Get help from a Microsoft Support Professional at no charge via e-mail, chat, or telephone.
