I know that DRM tries to control users by saying they shouldn't be allowed to transfer LEGALLY purchased files onto their pcs, as they can't know whether those people will use it solely for themselves, or share it with a few odd thousand people. I can't think of any pros for users, maybe for record companies lol. Well... I hope that helps someone.
