Forum Discussion: A user has problems with multiple USB ports and devices – Tom Coyote.

This blog entry was gleaned from Tom Coyote, a Featured Community Web site.

None of this user’s USB ports are working and he’s at his wit’s end. Posters suggest checking Device Manager, uninstalling and reinstalling devices, checking the BIOS and CMOS settings, and more. As this post goes live, he's still working on the problem.

I have something to say about xp and it's drivers. I was using 2000 pro. I upgraded to xp and have had nothing but trouble. My two dvd drives won't even read anymore my usb ports don't work. I ran windows defender thinking tha my virus program was not picking up everything. Defender deleted a necessary file and now messenger doesn't work. My incomming mail server is changing address to some number by itself so my e-mail is compromised? I think xp sucks

One more thing. Microsoft must not want to hear any negaitve feedback. There is nowhere to complain to. Even my dvd drive manufacturer Toshiba says it's not their responsability because Microsoft drivers are supposed to work - contact them... Well you can't they won't listen
