I second the music thing...great stress relief.

I went a little more elaborate than the guitar port thing but I'm really into it.

Also, of course, the whole multi-monitor thing. I have a couple on each machine - they're 19" for the most part but that was the reasonable price point when I purchased them.

Another thing that is very useful is the IOGear MiniView -- it's a KVM switch that allows you to have two monitors and up to four computers with two video cards each. It also lets you share your keyboard and mouse as well as any USB peripherals that you might have.

A good chair. I like the Aeron but there is a company called Steelcase that makes nice chairs as well. If you have to sit all day, it's an important accessory.

Lastly, a couple (not too many) really good friends that don't care if you're an ass sometimes.

Oh man, couldn't agree more on the multi monitor setup, and VMWare. I think they've together added 100% to my life (but then I got 200% more work, so I am back to square 1).
