Hosted source control

In case you need to host your code online, mostly for open source projects, here are some providers you can try:
Notes:
  • Not all accept closed source projects.
  • Not all support binary releases.
  • Most offer more services than just source code hosting: forums, bug tracking, task management, project web site, etc.

I would really love to be wrong, but I don't think Tigris supports Subversion yet. This is ironic as it hosts the Subversion project. Please ping me if I'm wrong!

It's not obvious on the site, but if you look at http://www.tigris.org/scdocs/ddSVN it seems Tigris does support Subversion.
Also, it you look at the Scarab project (http://scarab.tigris.org/) you'll see "you need a subversion client to access our code base".

If you look at http://svn.collab.net you may get a better answer:
"Welcome to svn.collab.net, a little server whose only purpose is to host select Subversion repositories used by projects hosted at tigris.org." ... "Tigris.org has recently been upgraded to a version of CollabNet Enterprise Edition which supports Subversion. We are no longer accepting requests for Subversion repository hosting, and will be working with already-hosted projects to move their repositories back onto tigris.org where they belong."

I know this post is old but I thought I would try incase anyone is still subscribed to it.

I'm looking for a Subversion hosting company that allows me to create hooks, I want to be able to automate an SVN update, or export to my DEV derver with each commit.

Eather a host that allows me to create my own hooks or already has this feature built in.

Thanks!!!!

Assembla is not free anymore for private projects. Even if you created when it was free, now they´re asking you for pay or they will publish it for the public.

As Im an independent developer, now im looking for another source code hosting for private projects but free. Suggestions: http://xp-dev.com and https://opensvn.csie.org for people like me which are using svn.
