I'd be the one inventing the computer to use it in the future for myself :) Otherwise, life would be boring.

Programming lets me feel like a god - and perhaps that feeling would drive me to being a mathematician or a mage. Need for abstractions in my mind is crucial :)

Farmer also, nothing compares with fresh air, feeling great after a hard work day, no stress (at least compared with IT)

I was also dreaming about being a farmer when I was little. But now after some experience should choose to become a graphic artist.

Programming for me was the natural extension of building things with Lego blocks. So I guess something creative, as an inventor of mechanical devices.

My other passions are: fly fishing and cooking. So I might have a small restaurant somewhere close to a good fishing river...

Who knows :)

I've having thoughts about this too... When I was smaller I was absolutely certain that I was going to work as a car designer. Nowadays I'm more into cooking or writing in some form. Maybe as a copy writer or journalist.

Life without computers would be easy. There'd still be internet, though? :-)

Who knows what would be then. My life could look completely different. I wish I would be a designer, but I could be a farmer as well. We just don't know that

What a great and interesting question.

In high school I liked the sciences, biology and physics, primarily. And, for a brief moment, I actually considered entering University majoring in biology (instead of Computer Science), so I imagine I would be a biologist or physicist today, if it weren't for computers.

I probably would have gone back into the military after college and been a career military officer like generations of my ascendants were.

If computers didn't exist then i think i choose to become a RockStar! :) compose music, sing, play with guitar and rock! Being a "RockStar" is as fun as computers....

A carpenter and a Farmer. Then i would create a machine made out of wood that will compile code made out of paper. Then it will produce kernels of corn. ^_^
