Rod Paddock, editor of CoDe Magazine, to talk at the Montreal Visual Studio UG
Rod Paddock, editor of CoDe Magazine will talk next Monday at the Montreal Visual Studio User Group about Wikis and how to create them.
Jason Beres' talk in Montreal

Yesterday, Jason Beres talked at the Montreal Visual Studio User Group.  Jason has written a few books, is an INETA speaker and now works for Infragistics.  Jason's talk was Writing an n-Tier Windows Forms Application.

The event was a HUGE success.  75 people attended the meeting (usually, we have about 50-55 people).

Jason is a great speaker, full of energy and able to communicate that energy to an audience.  The topic was more than interesting.  Even veteran .NET programmers learned a lot and more important, his talk is not a sales pitch on Infragistics products.  But one thing Jason is a master at is how to talk about a product without really talking about it.  Let me explain: although he didn’t go trough the complete features, from time to time he demonstrated a cool feature saying something like “Oh, see how cool you can dock windows”.  I gotta learn that technique  :-)

Jason being a hockey fan couldn’t resist buying a Montreal Canadiens hockey jersey while in Montreal.

.NET UG leaders can ask Infragistics to send you Jason for free.  Ask Bernadette at BernadetteA@infragistics.com
