I registered and downloaded Microsoft LCDS. When I opened the LCDS console, I clicked on "New" to add a new course name. I typed in the new course name in the pop-up window and then click on "Add."  Almost immediately, I received this errror message:

Error:  Access to the pather 'C:/PogramFiles/Microsoft/Learning/LCDSc/courses/assertiveness/\course\platform\interactive\definitions\captionMedia.js' is denied.

I was logged into Windows Vista as administrator.  What should I do?

Thank you for any help you might be able to give me!  Dean

Hello Dean ,

i have tried this scenario using LCDS installed on Windows XP machine and it's working fine without any problem.

It may be a VISTA operating system issue , just try to run LCDS as an administrator there is a similar issue at product support forum here

forums.community.microsoft.com/.../7c3e46e8-c631-48b8-8700-71b827483078

try to take a look if this way didn't solve your problem , please try to post a new issue with this details on the same forum.

Thanks a lot

Thank you very much for your help Hosam.  I did click on Start and right-click on the LCDS icon in the Start menu.  I was then able to create a new course and continue!!

Thank you very much for your time in doing the research even through Microsoft.

Respectfully,

Dean Bush
