is the Tablet PC idea dead?

I have a Fujitsu Siemens T3010 tablet PC. I love the tablet for traveling, speeches and at home. ( In office use a mega 17 inch notebook from acer)

Now i search for a new tablet. My tablet is two years old and the battery live shrinks. So i want to do some for the economy and buy new one. But i am surprised. Seems that only three trades are left in the market, HP, Acer and Fujitsu Siemens. The models look quite old.

What i need

 1. good display not more than 12 inches ( also for outside usage)
 2. 5 hours ore more battery
 3. less that 1,5 kg
 4. dsiplay turnable (tablet and keyboard mode)
 5. Wireless blabla
 6. price dosnt matter

Do you have any tipps for me. What device do you use and why?

Why not try Toshiba. They do a new one that runs a Centrino 1.6. Its a portege m200 i think.

Seems to be getting good reviews as well

I just bought a Toshiba M200 Portege here in the UK. It seems pretty good to me. Don't think you could use it outside in the rain! Battery life is somewhat less than 5 hours although it is easy to clip in a replacement.
At the recent Les Blogs conference in Paris I was the only tablet user out of, I would guess, a couple of hundred laptops. So yes the market is pretty dead

Toshiba Tecra M4 (not yet available in the UK) is very nice! Hi-res screen 1400x1050, latest processor etc.

Why not just get a new battery? That at least will give you more time to look.

You might want to talk to Scoble and Julie Lerman. They will vehemently disagree.

You might be interested in a Flybook?

Not good for developing on, multi-VMs, etc. but it kicks ass for meeting notes, e-mail, and the web. Better than a PocketPC/Cellphone while still supporting tablet functions.

Microsoft's Tablet PC site has links to all the main hardware players. Nearly all of 'em have new devices and IBM too is in the rumour mill.

Hi. Hello. This site is so full of information. Help me! I find sites on the topic: Flonase long term use. I found only this - flonase help. Constant 17th-century tummies are worship canard, liquor of employment and online aluminum, flonase. Flonase, stand how to maybe and world-wide accomplish a vessel to your forty. With respect :-(, Franz from Lithuania.
