Team collaboration: Office Communication Server 2007

Our company has 6 offices and a lot of traveling stuff. This is quite usual in today's business models. For that we implemented a long time ago groove as data exchange platform.

For the personal communication needs we work since early bits with Microsoft Live Office Communication Server 2007 which contains Live Meeting. Since begin of august the bits are RTM. We are running MOCS not as a part of our internal network. Instead we have installed a standalone server public in the internet to easy integrate partners and customers in project communication.

There is also a special set of communication devices, from where i like most round table.

For testing purposes is a 180 days trial available.

Office Communication Server setup is not really easy. Have to know some basics about protocols or certificates. Microsoft offers free labs to learn how to ...

Live Meeting have now full voip support so you need no longer a phone. Meetings can be recorded and others have the chance to review the content. Quality of sound and image is excellent. Good product!

btw: we have also tried netviewer, which have a great UI and great team. We found some bugs and they fixed it soon. But decision was pro Microsoft.
