ppedv news: 6th training center opened in Vienna

Our company ppedv have the focus on Microsoft knowledge transfer. We are offering our services like training and coaching in Germany in 5 city's (München, Karlsruhe, Köln, Siegen, Burghausen). A few weeks ago we opened our new center in vienna (austria).

The strategy is to offer 5-star training and to work to 99% with full employed trainers. From the history we had several famous book authors, MVP's and speakers like Shinja Strasser, Frank Eller, Tobias Ulm, Thomas Hauser and me (Hannes Preishuber).

We are still seeking for enthusiasts, who will grow with us and want to become a guru.

Notebook display or mirror?

I have ordered the a new tablet pc for me. The product description says "non glare" anti reflective.

You can see the new Fujitsu T4220 right and my old T 4010 on the left side of the picture. On the right side you can see the windows, the house, the red roove.

Does anybody can work with a display like that? I dont understand the trend to brilliant, glare or whatever displays.

I live in Hochburg-Ach (Austria) where Fanz Xaver Gruber was born in 1787. He composed "Silent Night, Holy Night" in Oberndorf (which is 15 minutes away).

Expression Design September CTP: why? what? and when?

I am using graphic products for following purposes: Create images for web and for pre press. For the first purpose I need jpg and gif. For the second CYMK formats like tiff, jpg or pdf are needed. From my microsoft history I have hundreds of MIX files from photodraw.

From my point of view, Expression Design can do nothing better than other tools today

My essential format MIX not supported. CMYK support seems to be not implemented correct.

btw: i like the UI.

TechEd, Exchange and Honeypot

Browsing the TechEd event site - a lot of application and services are available. Most based on ASP.NET.

JJ1 alias Bruno the bear is dead

The first brown bear in germany for 170 years was killed from hunters a few hours after "shoting" order by goverment. Bruno was born in italy 2 years ago and entered germany illegal, crossing austria. He eat some sheeps, chicken and honey and meet some people. Was enough for the bavarian enviroment minister. Now the bear comes into the museum for nature in munich. 21% of the germans think that this decision goes ok.

If you think this should be a joke or similar, you are wrong. Today in the headlines of all leading european newspapers.

The blog which is started for bruno have 10.000 requests per second and breakes down. Amazing how the world have changed. Perhaps Web 2.0 will help the next bear ( in 170 years) to survife in german wildlife.

the german visual studio 1 magazine (www.visualstudio1.de) is getting a new editor in chief. Everybody is invited to give tipps in this blog as comment who will be the "new" one. The first wins a small price. The solution comes with the next visual studio 1 issue.

maybe Google is evil 2nd part

Its some time ago that i blogged the abuse of my name in a google adsense campaign. This was a easy case, cause the guy was located in germany.

Now i figured out that jam software ( a competitor ) is using our registered trademark visendo as adword. For me its complicated to handle this in a correct matter. So i have written to google a email with the facts and to delete the Ad.

Google writes me back, that i must send a signed letter. WHAT?!

Hey google. i dont have broken the law, your business model is based on that and you guys get the profit!
