Downloading vcredist_x64.exe SP1 has fixed the problem. Looks like the out of the box Windows 2008 standard server install doesn't load the C++ run-time files.

I have this service running and can receive email via pop3. However when I run SMTPExtenderAdmin.exe I get an entry point not found in MSVCP90.dll. DO I need to install C++ libraries or a run-time? Any advice will be gratefully accepted. I am still mad that Microsoft removed the POP3 service, as I runn several organisations utilising this service.

I'm wanting to create a generic multi-select ListBox, called ListBoxEx for old times sake.

This example is pointed to from many pages, but it seems incomplete (or it's just my ignorance, which I would like to reduce...).

Could this control be extended to have a "SelectedItems" property? I would love some direction or help on this.

(Of course this is moot when Silverlight 3 comes out, but who knows when my client will actually adopt SL 3 - 2013??)

The ListBox in the XAML has an event: lstFields_SelectionChanged

What does this event do?

Hi, when installing the extender, It finishes successfully and I've selected "Launch Visendo" in the end of installer. Then I've got "Access Denied" message.

When starting the service from the SMTPExtenderAdmin, the following is logged:

2009-06-25 20:31:19 OpenService error 6 :The handle is invalid.

2009-06-25 20:31:23 StartService error 6 :The handle is invalid.

2009-06-25 20:31:24 1060 :The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

BTW, when using the SMTPExtenderAdmin tool, it doesn't allow to configure IP Address, so I had to do that into the .config file.

Any help?

Hello,

we have build an new release for the Visendo SMTP Extender (v.1.1.0.500) with following changes :

- binding to IP specified in config

- malformed attachment pooling fixed

- capa command crash fixed

- performance optimization

- small configuration admin

- updater

you can download the installation packages from our download portal (forum.visendo.com/german.aspx) and if you have an old installation just back-up the config file that will be used by the new version after installation.

An binary update is not possible because of the dependecies ,

old version was compiled with VS 2008 and the new version with SP1 from VsiualStudio 2008, that makes a signifiant performance improvement.

As I'm fairly new to asp.net with more strength with T-SQL, I've solved this in SQL.

For the select statement which populates the drop down, I've created a custom SQL statment in the SQLDataSource which first counts the number of rows matching the search criteria. If 0, a NULL based record is returned, otherwise the normal results set is provided. i.e.:

IF (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM admin_attribute_option WHERE AttributeCode = @vAttrCode) = 0

BEGIN

SELECT

NULL AS OptionCode,

'SELECT VALUE' AS OptionDesc

END

ELSE

BEGIN

SELECT

OptionCode,

FROM

admin_attribute_option

WHERE

AttributeCode = @vAttrCode

END

When it comes to your update / insert statements, remember to test for the NULL value coming back otherwise your page will error out. e.g.

IF LEN(RTRIM(@OptionCode)) > 0

ProdCode = @ProdCode

AND

AttributeCode = @AttributeCode

It seens this code doesn't work. The MyDropFunction(a) is never fired!!!

Your second article isn't usefull to me because it doesn't show how to know the element the panel dropped in! I don't need coordinates.

I'm searching the entire Internet and can't find a solution :-(
