Google Code Search

I was looking earlier today for some sort of code implementation as I was just too lazy to code it myself... then I remembered about google code search ...

After 20 seconds I had some kind of implementation in my hand and yep I also looked at the license to see that its royalty free :-)

P.S. small tip... use the advance search to limit to search to C# or whatever.

Entlib 2.0 Performance Comparison 64 Bit vs. 32 Bit

The Enterprise Library 2.0 Performance Comparison document provides an analysis Enterprise Library deployment in both a 32-bit (2 and 4 processor) and 64-bit (2 and 4 processor) environment and examines their relative performance to a 32-bit 2 processor server. The goal of this document was to obtain the relative performance measurements of the Enterprise Library Logging Application Block, Caching Application Block, Data Access Application Block and the scalability from going from a 2 to a 4 bit processor arrangement in each environment.

We will have to wait for windows update to upgrade .net 3.0 on vista.

2007 Microsoft Office System RTM and Visual Studio Tools for Office Second Edition RTW!

As mentioned on Erika Ehrli blog the 2007 Microsoft Office was announced as RTM and also the Visual Studio Toold for Office Second Edition (VSTO SE)

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (also known as “Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition” or “VSTO 2005 SE”) is an add-on to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 that enables you to build application-level add-ins for applications in the 2007 Microsoft Office system and the Microsoft Office 2003 System.
VSTO 2005 SE includes support for Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form template projects, previously available as a separate product known as the Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio 2005. You can now design InfoPath 2007 form solutions right in the Visual Studio 2005 environment if you have InfoPath 2007 installed on your computer.
