RSS Descriptions

On a non-technical note: Apparently Scott has implemented descriptions with the RSS feeds, so that only the short comes through the RSS. You have to click into the URL to get the full story.

I understand that it's optional, and that people have a choice - from my standpoint, though, I find myself very irritated by blogs that use this feature (Chris Sells, and Don Box in particular).

The problem is I have to look at a single, esoteric sentence and try to understand exactly what they're talking about. Then, if I want to take a gamble and see if that's something I want to read about, I have to click into the story link and go off to their site.

Very annoying.

But, it's all about freedoms, I suppose. They choose to publish their content in this manner, I choose to continue to subscribe. Despite the brief delivery of the content, I still manage to catch a good article here and there. Though, I bet I miss a ton of great stuff, too, just because I see the description and think, "Hrm, I have no idea what that's about. Oh well.", and I move on to the next blog.

Interesting discussion to say the least.
