Silly NDAs
Well, crap. I just posted a blog about how <big freaking ISP> was about to release a blogging tool for their community. But, I realized that I was under an NDA with them. So, let's just leave it at that. But, let's just say, more and more big companies are taking a serious look at weblogging. Pretty... Read More...

Build Automation
So, I finally got fed up with all the possible CI solutions out there - Draco.NET, CI.NET, etc... Most rely on NAnt, or if they do support anything outside of NAnt it's flakey at best. Taking Microsoft's BuildIt tool's source, I've dug through and used it as a reference to VSS's APIs (they have a reputation... Read More...

nGallery Preview
I've grabbed the latest snapshot from our Workspace and setup a gallery on my site to display pictures from last week's Microsoft v2 developer review event: http://www.alexander-family.net/jason/ngallery/ A bit of a preview of nGallery. This is the XML version, currently, running a basic skin that I... Read More...

About Me & Pic Added
Ok, one of the other guys on weblogs.asp.net posted some suggestions to making your blog better. So, with that, I've added a little "About Me" section on the left which just links to a basic description of me, and a little picture. Fun stuff. http://weblogs.asp.net/jalexander/story/10126.aspx Enjoy.... Read More...

GDN & nGallery
Well, nGallery is really cruising right along! We have 8+ members total working on the project, and making lots of headway quickly. One of my blogging buddies, Harry Pierson ( http://www.devhawk.net/ ), joined us this week, as well as Thomas Johansen ( http://www.aspalliance.com/aylar/ ) and a few co... Read More...

Match.com Post Mortem
Well, I never really talked about how things went with our Match.com 5.0 roll-out and implementation. Amazingly, it was one of the smoothest, most successful development projects and roll-outs that I've ever been involved with. We recoded an entire (HUGE!) site in about 8 months, including definition... Read More...

nGallery is rolling!
Ken ( http://www.qgyen.net/ ) has joined me on the nGallery project! This project is picking up steam quickly! I've gotten quite a bit down on the XML implementation now. Though, the interface is pretty shoddy. Hopefully, Ken has more creative skillz then me. ;) Either that, or a artsy type pokes their... Read More...

Changing Source Code Control Providers in VS.NET
Well, so far GDN's Workspaces are pretty impressive. Source Code Control integration is the slickest, by far. They haveĀ a tool that integrates with VS.NET that takes over (literally) as your SCC Provider, and integrates with your workspace directly. Doing that was great, until I had to actually do some...
