.Test Testing Tool

As James Avery and Steve Smith posted about earlier, I went to check out .Test also. The demo was very slick. Like James said, it's a mix of NUnit and fxCop, without all the work.

Enticed, I grabbed the 43MB download, and got a follow-up email saying that I needed to send an email to license@parasoft.com to get a password key for the eval. Ok, no biggy. I send one off real quick, only to have a NDR soon follow saying the email address could not be found. Very lame.

So, for now, I guess, I file that big 43 MB download away and see if I get a sales rep call soon. ;)

UPDATE: I've now tried sending email to all the addresses listed on their site. All bounce. How annoying.

This has been my experience for years with Parasoft. They don't really have trial versions. If some company is going to want people to look at their software, they should offer 30 day trials like many companies do, without having to first contact sales. My experience is that Parasoft does not do that. They make you go through a sales call to even a get a trial license if they respond at all. Pass.
