nGallery's new host:

So, last week I had finally had it. I had been hosting at webhost4life. It seemed to be affordable, and you really got alot (unlimited bandwidth, SQL Server, etc...). But, I had recently setup a monitoring tool to check my uptime, and it was pretty pitiful. I found my site to be down anywhere from 5 to 10 hours a week. And, the response time of the site seemed to be getting worse and worse as my traffic ramped up.

Doing a search through the ISPs on the ASP.NET site, and came across was awesome. $15/month package, here some highlights:

  • Windows 2003 Server
  • 5 GB of traffic/month
  • 200 MB of disk space
  • 1 domain name
  • 5 domain aliases
  • 5 sub domains
  • 2 SQL Server 2000 databases
  • 100 MBs of SQL Server space
  • Enterprise Manager access

The greatest thing is that only supports Microsoft hosting. They don't install PHP and everything else under the sun on the same server, so it's lightning fast.

And, the support is incredible. You can actually IM EAServe's support staff directly and get immediate response.

And, so far, they will bend over backwards to make sure your transition (or installation) is easy.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Let me just echo the Jason's post. I have been using EAServe for the past 3 months and they have been fantastic. They are definitely the best provider I have used so far. They have a very easy to use interface for setting up things like SQL Server databases. For all around ease of use, and price EAServe is definitely the best hosting provider I've used. Sorry, if this sounds like a plug... but I've had my experience with bad hosting providers, as well as good hosting providers, and EAServe is definitely top notch for .NET hosting in my book.
