IIS 6 Manager

If you're running Windows Server 2003 on your domain and your workstation is on XP, you need to get Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Manager for Windows XP.  This tool is great!  It updates XP so that you can manage your 2003 Server IIS instances remotely, and you can manage your local instance with the new, fancier GUI.  It's a must-have, especially in a corporate environment.

Too bad I cannot figure out how to save your "connected" servers when you close it.

With any MMC console, you can use the /a switch to start it in author mode and make changes to the default options:
1. Start -> Run : %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Inetsrv6\iis6.msc /a
2. Add servers you want it to have every time.
3. File -> Save
4. File -> Exit

The next time you open it, it should have the servers you added. Of course, this will make it slower to open, because it has to connect to all your servers.

Why would a php script that queries a mysql database run many times slower on 2003 Server (IIS 6) than it did on 2000 Server (IIS 5)?
