It's a Boy, As They Say

We had our 20-week ultrasound today for our bun in the oven.  Turns out the little whippersnapper's gonna be a boy.  We're quite happy, especially me because that'll balance out the estrogen in the house (and he'll carry on the name, blah blah blah).

His name is John Dominic Anthony Little (yeah yeah, "Little John"...), which are mostly the names of saints we have a particular affinity for, but John is also my late paternal grandfather's name.  I admire St. Dominic for what he did for the Church.  St. Anthony's more my wife's pick cuz she loses stuff a lot, and St. Anthony helps her find it (so far he's batting 1000).  John, on the other hand, is not so specific--there are tons of great saints named John, though I do favor St. John Chrysostom because of his written legacy.

The only other significance, that I'm aware of, is that he has the same initials that I have--JDAL.  Most of you know the AL part.  If you want to know the JD is in my name, you have to ask really nicely or, better yet, send $20 to my PayPal account.

By the way, this is being posted via an as-yet unreleased posting tool being written by Chris Frazier.  I probably wouldn't post this to the main feed and will try not to using the 'post w/o publishing' feature.  His app doesn't have the ability to specify not publishing on main feed yet (nor do any I'm aware of), but I do think he is planning on supporting the .Text API (don't quote me on that), which will enable such niceties.  I do like it better in most ways than BlogJet.  In any case, I think he wouldn't mind some other testers (don't quote me on that, either).  If you're interested, contact him via his blog.
