Subway stops carrying cucumbers? Damn.

I found out from a couple sandwich artists (that title still cracks me up...what, can I say I was a "motion picture transaction engineer" for having worked at Blockbuster?) that the local establishments haven't been carrying cucumbers for the past few weeks.  This really sucks...that veggie was added sometime last year locally, and really bring out the flavor in ANY sandwich.

I'm not sure if it's permanent or just due to non-arrival, but my fave, Sweet Onion Chicken Teriaki on Honey Oat, just doesn't have the same zing.

Hope they don't 86 the banana peppers, too.  What a bummer.

I dunno, eating at Subway has never been about taste. I mean, do you ever watch them unpeel those slimy slices of prepackaged meat?

What exactly is that slime?

They say I can have it my way... I say scrape that nasty slime off please.

At least at Port of Subs, They actually slice the meat fresh, and.... I think they have cucumbers.

Port of Subs? What is that?

Jason, that's also my favorite sub, but I've never put cukes on it. Hmm...

Also, the local Subways here have cuke, so I think maybe it's just an availability or seasonal thing?
