EPISODE #92 - it's another workweek-ending MegaCast in which I reflect on the year 1992, the Olympics, the artful use of T&A in movies, the need for accessibility in podcasting, and cool tech that actually works in Guam!

Topics Discussed:

  • Unlike our radio DJs, I'm at my assigned place of work and working
  • Guam's skies, much like my sinuses, are now cleared up
  • Visit The Simian Syndicate for the full-unadulterated version
  • I forgot to mention in yesterday's show when describing the volcanic haze the sulfurous smells it's causing...my poor, tormented nasal cavities
  • NBC's Olympic TripleCast
  • Terms I've coining: "CastFast", "MegaCast", "ParadeCast", "StoryCast"
  • Podcasting needs better accessibility support for the disabled
  • I'm going to try and signup for additional Sirius trial time using a different e-mail address (does it track the e-mail or a cookie?)
  • Pre-show podburn: David from Ohio nixes his plans for a video game show before Show #1 is finished
  • TALKBACK - was the "creative" use of T&A on movies worse in the 80's or now?
  • Super funny-ass cult movies: "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka", "The Gods Must Be Crazy", "They Still Call Me Bruce"

Hi
Thanks for the comments on the show notes.
I somtimes wonder the benefit on doing that with the show notes. It takes some time to do it but I have some good feedback on doing the notes that way so I have continued doing it.

I also find that it makes you edit your show well as you have to pay attention when you play it back to do the notes.

Hi Ian,

My pleasure to mention your blog/podcast. Aesthetically, I think it's cool, but too much work for someone who podcasts as often as I do...to try and go through the entire show and map out what content kicks in where. Do you plan on doing an enhanced podcast for iTunes 4.9 in which you "chapterize" your show, which kind of builds on the show notes concept you're using?

yes I plan to at some point.
It interesting you noteing the way I do it.
I was thinking of not being as details but seeing how you like it I am going to continue with it that way
