Multi-multiplatform - KUAM.COM video for the PSP via RSS

And you thought us crazy kids at KUAM.COM were doing some cool things with the Web already.  In the interest of adding to my company's vast array of news & entertainment products for the Web, blogs, podcasts, the desktop, RSS, WAP, PDA, SMS, BREW, and over streaming media, I'm giving some serious consideration towards encoding video for the PlayStation Portable.  Apparently, the supported video is in a proprietary Sony format needed header encoding gizmos, but I'm working on that.

Hopefully the PSP will also someday support MPEG-4, and better yet, Windows Media-formatted videos, but until then, I'm just trying to figure out what format we'll be working with and what equipment we'll need to get it there.  That we can get around the major hurdle - the distribution channel - by way of RSS is the greater attraction to me; the actualy format is incidental and easily achieved.

If you're wondering what led to this little epiphany, check out a previous blog I did about how the adult entertainment industry has been able to smoothly translate their content onto the PSP by way of RSS feeds.  Go figure - inspired by porn.
