The blog now officially a pillar of effective web marketing

I'm stoked to see that people not directly in tech are realizing the importance of blogs as a means of effective web marketing.  In fact, it's thought by some to be a critical component, so much so that you won't survive without one:

  1. Search Engines and Pay-Per-Click Advertising,
  2. Email Marketing,
  3. Business Blogs,
  4. Viral Marketing

Damn...remember the days when the Web used to be seen as the low-cost marketing solution?  Now you've got to use CSS, and be seen yb Google.  Now you've got to have a blog - and as such, an RSS feed (preferably in both 1.0 & 2.0), and an ATOM feed.  And a podcast.  And be listed with iTunes.  Heavy.
