Slingbox rules...but I won't be getting one

Scoble sings the praises of Slingbox, the ultra-cool SlingMedia set-top box that lets you watch TV from any PC.  That's a really clever idea, but the threat of negating local advertising dollars, in addition to the concerns the cable industry Scoble mentions, might run this into thr ground.  That would be a damn shame.

But no such niceties for me, at least not for work.  I work for a TV station, so there are - literally - six TV monitors no matter where I walk and no matter where I look.  Spit in any direction and you'll hit a box with televised programming on it (as disgusting a proposition as that is).  My entire world is FoxNews, MSNBC, CNBC, ESPN, CNN, MTV, VH1, and ABCNews.  I couldn't not watch TV at work if I tried.  :)
