Software, Hardware, whatever...

What Visual Studio 2005 build are you using?

We're using .NET 2 for an upcoming project, and I've been playing with December CTP.  It's fairly stable minus a few IDE hangs and crashes.  I'm curious what some of you are using, Beta 1? November CTP?  According to MSDN, November CTP is the most current build of Studio and the Framework.   I've noticed that in the December CTP, when you use the ASP.NET Web Configuration, that the Add Custom Provider option is not available.

Any feedback is welcome.

from my experience (see my weblog) the changes from B1 to B2 are quite huge, so you can expect a lot of migration work.
Its true november ctp is newer that december
Hold on B2 is only a few days away and with that build you are allowed to make products

I'm using the Nov CTP because it's newer and had a few more windows forms improvements. Holding out for this supposed March release of Beta 2. (I think I saw Mar 31st, but the previous commenter said "a few days away")

Let's hope its a few days :) The occassional stalling in the IDE gets annoying after awhile, it is beta though.

I've heard from several reliable sources that Whidbey Beta 2 will be released at the very end of March. Unless something's changed in the internal scheduling, that will most likely be release date.

That said, yeah we're using Whidbey Beta 1 at work, it's fairly stable; recently I've had a few hangs, but overall it's decent. They already fixed "the Woe" bug in the VS Form Designer from VS 2003, hopefully beta 2 will fix the few bugs remaining in 2005.

I've been using Beta 1, which has been pretty good over all... some concerns for some of the threading capabilities, but I'm planning to give Beta 2 a good work out before passing judgement on the new framework.
