We've all been exposed to Design Patterns, and their indelible impressions are apparent in any well designed software.
However, there are several patterns that are quite pervasive in the development community, though you'll be hard pressed to find the GoF referencing them. I'd like to introduce Resign Patterns.
My personal favorite is the Simpleton Pattern.
