POP Forums, the beta, coming in January

(Channeling that guy from Futurama:) "Good news, everyone!" POP Forums v9 for ASP.NET MVC3 is looking like an actual product right now. I kind of dropped off of the preview releases to CodePlex, but rest assured, it's coming along swimmingly. My plan is to post the first beta in January, probably after MVC3 ships. Stay tuned!

Hi, I put an issue on your codeplex project:

I'm new to your project and I'm trying to get it running on my machine. I have ASP.NET MVC 3 RC2 installed and I am getting an error: "The name 'ViewModel' does not exist in the current context". I'm fairly new to ASP.NET MVC 3 and I don't know why I'm getting this error. Any ideas?

Best regards,

Chris

Already fixed. There was no updated build for RC2, which had a breaking change.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your response.  Are you saying I need to run the pop forum on an earlier build of MVC 3, like RC 1? Thank you for open sourcing your forum.

Best regards,

Chris

That, or you could wait for the final release of MVC3, as I'm planning to post a much newer build around that time.

Ok, thanks Jeff.  Since I'm working with MVC 3 RC 2 ... I didn't want to uninstall that ... so, I simply modified the problem lines of code to work with ViewData[""] instead of ViewModel ... I guess, I'm just excited to see it working ... I hope I didn't break anything ... I'll wait until your final version comes out to test it more thoroughly.  Thanks again.
