XNA Creators Club sucks too

It's bad enough that I can't use my real name on Xbox Live, but I can't even do it trying to sign up for the XNA Creators Club. And I'm sure there's no human being who would respond to, and act, to fix it. Believe me, I've tried.

You'd think my last name wouldn't be banned now that there is a baseball player, in Seattle no less, who shares the cursed name.

  • Since I'm on the Creators club team, I'll defend us and try to help you out. Shoot me an email at sean.jenkin@microsoft.com and we'll see what we can do to help.

  • Yes Jeff - please do talk to Sean our dev lead who has been working through customer account issues. Speaking as someone who has long had a name no one could pronounce (and first off the rolls in junior high homeroom) I feel your pain. On the other hand, since you are a published author, it looks to me like you are reclaiming the namespace as it were with some glory.

Hang in there and talk to Sean, he does miracles every day,

    Betsy Aoki

PS I blogged a while back about how many interviews it took to get me at Microsoft because I was/wasn't Microsoft material. Not sure if this is your case, but perhaps another data point as you ponder the world.
