Review: MSN IM Beta 7.0

Has anyone tried the new MSN IM 7.0 yet? It seems like more "fluff" than anything. I started using MSN IM because it didn't have the bells and whistles (literally) that AIM and Yahoo! Messenger had. Has anyone found any good functionality with 7.0?

It's sad to see MSN go the way of bloat-ware, the reason I started using it over ICQ a few years ago, was ICQ became so bloated, and I just wanted something to do one thing and do it well - send messages.

I'd love it if Microsoft released a MSN Light that was a no-frills version of the client.

Why not use Windows Messenger? Does what it has to do, without all the child stuff (let's face it, MSN Messenger is mostly targeted to youth and people who like all sille things)
