Crystal Reports Merge Modules

Wow! I've been trying to search everywhere to figure out a way to deploy Crystal Reports with VS 2005. I knew I could use Click Once to do it and I had a feeling there was a merge module somewhere. However, the Crystal module for VS 2005 is not in the default folder. Of course not. That would be... easy. Instead, I went through about 10-15 click throughs on the Business Objects website before I finally found it in the obvious location. All of the merge modules for any language and version (.NET, Java, VS 2003, VS 2005, etc) can be found at http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/merge_modules.asp#07. The link provided herein will take you right to the VS 2005 downloads. Special thanks to Julie Lerman for pointing out the website that led me to this.

Hi, I'm using Click Once to publish an application which use Crystal Reports but can not get the part that use the report to work.

Could you explain or just point me into the right direction : How you include the merge module in the project ?

thank you.

Hi

I am having problems deploying CR2008 with VS 2005. Works fine on development PC but does not run on client machine where CR XI R2 is installed. I used the CRRuntime_12_0.msm in my set up project. The note on the BO website refers to Microsoft merge modules also being required. Is that the case please?

Many thanks

Ian C

I have a Windows 2008 program (c#) using CR. Works fine on my dev machine. On my ClickOnce setup I have checked CR as a prerequisite (CR Basic for Visual Studio 2008).

When I try to run on setup I get file not found error.

Do I need to purchase anything from SAP to get this to work, like the merge modules?

Thanks....

Thank you for the information, I spent lots of time just couldn't find the damn downloadable, and I finally got it from you.

Why crystal report sucks so much? it's been a nightmare to so many people, and same as microsoft, why their links are ALWAYS broken? it's just way to stupid for such a well know company, shouldn't they be a little bit more organized?
