My machine that I use for the Technology Post is now back online. It’s my main machine that had Windows Vista (now Windows 7), Visual Studio 2008 (now Visual Studio 2010), Office, and a few other applications installed on it. The issue was a failing hard drive. Because this machine is only used for web browsing, twitter, email and basic office duties, and related tasks throughout the day, it only has a single, high performance hard drive. It’s a laptop so it’s not easy finding cheap 10k or 15k hard drives. Anyway, the hard drive failed, but my virtual machines that perform 95% of my daily activities were spared. I had to use another machine until this past weekend. I almost have my main machine back up to speed.
