I have seen one other blog about this so far from Brian Noyes. I did however manage to get mine working side by side with automatic debugging for vs.net 2003. I suggest before you whidbey that you make a backup copy of your metabase using MetaEdit. Unfortunately, I didn't.
I uninstalled IIS, rebooted, reinstalled IIS, rebooted. Visual Studio 2003 still didn't work for automatic debugging. After the reinstall I ran aspnet_regiis -i against the 1.1 framework. Now automatic debugging is working like a champ.
I received alot of good feedback regarding my post. I would like to say one thing in my defense. I wasn't talking about every Microsoftie that writes an introduction blog. I would LOVE to know specific information about the person writing the introduction. I am talking about the people who dont include that valuable information. I do not know how many times I have seen this type of blog.
“HEY Everyone. My name is Joe Cool, and this is my first blog. I cannot think of anything important or insightful to say except that I am now blogging!!! Please stay tuned for frequent blogs on various “cool” technologies and stuff that I am working on.“
6 months of silence...
“HEY Everyone, Joe Cool here, sorry I haven't been keeping up with the blog much, I have been on vacation in Alaska. Here are some pictures of people that will no doubt be unrecognizable to you. These are my friends, some of them are very smart technical people like me.”

Why do people feel the need to post a blog about their first blog. How does that help us? At least some people have the common courtesy to say “Hey this is my first blog” AND include some nice technical information. I wish I could bill all the people that wrote about it being their first blog. It is a complete and utter waste of time. What is more annoying is that these people are supposed to be the cream of the crop so to speak in our industry. Do us all a favor and skip over the “This is my first blog” crap. I dare you to be different.
