Windows 7
Introduce Windows 7 Client
- Taskbar now has thumbnails
- Each application has it's own most recently used list called jump list
- Windows can be docked to side, kind of the old MDI interface
- User has control of the Notification area icons. What gets displayed, the ordered of the icons.
Windows Explorer
- Search has highlighting of the words found
Windows Homegroup
- Classify what on your network people can see.
- Search across multiply pcs in the home group for content.
- Can send content from one device to another like from PC to play on your stereo system or home theatre.
- All of the devices that are seen in the homegroup, you will have access to all devices. Windows will automatically switch between home printer and office printer.
Window Touch computing
- Mouse commands have been refactored to allow for "Surface" like UI, stretching and resizing.
- On screen keyboard supported predictive text.
