There's nothing like the smell of toner in the morning....
I picked up Samsung ML-1430 a few days ago for a paltry $150 after rebates. This thing is a 8M 15 ppm laser printer, folks! I'd been using an HP LaserJet 5L for years and had gotten to the point where I was only printing envelopes and things I couldn't wait to print at the office. Years ago paper started jamming and recently almost nothing prints because it only has 1M of memory, which apparently isn't enough to print a simple web page with a single graphic. (Yes, I'm serious.)
I saw the Samsung @ Best Buy and thought I might as well give it a shot. Wow -- very, very impressive. I'm printing everything now. I hadn't realized that I'd _stopped_ printing things at home, but that surely was the case. Some things feel a little "cheap", but I would expect nothing more from something so affordable. The fact that it can quickly print my documents (up to 16 pages per side, mind you) makes me a happy guy. If the thing dies in a few months I'll probably buy another.
