Larry Brown not going to Cleveland, staying in Detroit (with the Red Wings)

The guy's wearing an Yzerman jersey during the after-game press conference. I haven't been a Pistons fan (or watched NBA ball, for that matter) since the early nineties, but this could change that.

Here it is, late May, and I'm watching basketball. This is Stanley Cup time. Humbug.

This is my first time in years that I am interrested in the NBA play-offs. There are some exciting players out there...

Haha Good way to put it. Much less attitude than there was a few years ago.

Hey great to see a fellow detroiter :D

Total wingnut here, very dissappointed in the NHL and the players. Still cant get into basketball much before the 4th quarter. Never miss much until then anyhow. Gonna watch the last Heat game tonight. I would like to see them pull it off again.

Sorry, but I'm a Chicaoan. ;) Grew up playing hockey in Michigan, though, so my heart is with the Wings. (And, for what it's worth, the Pistons.)

I, too, am disappointed w/all things NHL. They really need to get their shit together. I don't blame people for not watching; the game just isn't very interesting these days. Put in some radical new rule changes (MAKE THE ICE SURFACE BIGGER!), kill off some of the teams and start over.

As for basketball, I don't know if I could sit and focus on an entire game. I'm usually on the computer working with the game on in the background. I do it to listen to Barkley, if nothing else!

Not a regular poster but I was wondering if anybody had that picture of Larry Brown with the Red Wings jersey on. That is my new wallpaper.

Made me think of a tip to the hat of Scotty Bowman.

Thank god for google.

I'd like to know, too! If Larry leaves, maybe Bowman will take over.

Now there's a dyansty...

I'd like to see him get started on the Tigers or the Lions.

Man it's a good time to be a Detroit fan though. The Tigers...they will be good. The Lions...can't get any worse. Any time the wings play you know they have a chance. At least we get to hang our hats on the Pistons for now...but really...we are a powerhouse on sports. No matter what you follow the next few years are the future.
