TWSUG LiveMeeting - NT4 Migration: In-Place Upgrade
The Toronto Windows Server User Group will be hosting our first LiveMeeting this Thursday at 7 PM. Sam Wong, one of our executive members will be presenting the first in a series of presentations on NT4 Migrations. What's really great about the presentation is that he is currently performing these upgrades for a very large corporate customer. The information you'll be getting will be right from the trenches! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Bruce Cowper and the great staff at Microsoft for helping us host this event.
Why a LiveMeeting? Well, we would like to extend the activities of the TWSUG beyond the regular user group meetings to reach a wider audience. Here are the meeting details in case you are interested in attending:
The Toronto Windows Server User Group is proud to present this first talk in the NT4 Migration Series. NT4 Migration is a complex topic and has a very wide scope. The objective of our series is to focus on specific subjects voted by our members.
In this LiveMeeting presentation, we will look at In-place Upgrades from Windows NT Server 4.0 to Windows Server 2003. Some of the topics that will be discussed include:
- When should an In-place Upgrade be performed?
- Challenges of In-place Upgrade
- Overview of a Sample Deployment
- Review of Best Practices From the Field
Time permitting, we will have a Q&A discussion with several experts. The TWSUG would like to extend a special thanks to Bruce Cowper and TechNet Canada for helping set up this event.
