Toronto Code Camp!

Chris Dufour (from the East of Toronto .NET User Group) and I are in the process of setting up a Toronto Code Camp in early January 2006! All the infrastructure is in place - all we need is a location. Expect a website by October 8th - we will be opening up a call for speakers and general registration. This should be a very exciting event!

If you are interested in helping us plan this event, speak or attend - feel free to contact me using the contact info on this page (http://www.stormpixel.com/contact/). In case you are wondering, a code camp is a FREE, community-driven, all-day event for developers. Speakers are local or regional developers. Topics are based on community interest. Sessions are original and feature a heavy technical focus (no marketing fluff). (Taken directly from the Code Camp Manifesto)

If you are in the eastern provinces, you'll definitely want to take a look at the Atlantic Canada CodeCamp spearheaded by Derek Hatchard. To learn more about this code camp, visit: http://www.atlanticcodecamp.ca/

I would suggest downtown Toronto since it is central for people from the east, west and north.
