Since I just upgraded to Office Pro to be able to play with xml and am now stuck with a copy of SBE I can't sell because of license/activation, and since I've been sorting out in the newsgroups some problems with a guy who, after signing up for &amp;quot;Customer Experience Improvement&amp;quot;, is freaking because his computer keeps phoning home, I'm a little touchy about a) and b) above. If you're referring to the upgrades as a subscription fee, I'd counter that older versions of the software still work as they do when they were purchased.
