| As you probably know, I have been living in California for a few years now (since October 2000). What you probably don't know is that my wife and son are now taking a long (2 months) vacation to Brazil, my home country. These extended weekends are a real problem. Talk about not having anything to do... I guess some other people would spend the whole time traveling around the place and doing funny things. I guess I'm just not the type. Maybe because I have done quite a lot of traveling around here, maybe because doing it all by myself doesn't feel right, maybe both. The fact is that I spent most of the time working on my computer at home, browsing the web and watching TV (in the last two days they had a great Twilight Zone marathon, 50 something episodes back to back). Well, that's when the whole blog thing came to me. I guess you could call me geek, huh? You, see I already had my web site for so long, adding a blog can't be that hard. Of course, we will only know that in the future. For now, that's it. Let's see if I can keep up with it. |

Você provavelmente sabe que estou vivendo na Califórnia faz alguns anos (desde outubro de 2000). O que você provavelmente não sabe é que minha esposa e meu filho estão passando longas férias (2 meses) no Brasil, meu país natal. Estes finais de semana prolongados (4 de julho, dia da independência por aqui) não ajudam em nada. Pense numa pessoa sem ter nada o que fazer... Imagino que outras pessoas passariam o tempo passeando por aqui e se divertindo. Eu acho que eu não sou assim. Talvez por eu já ter passeado por toda parte por aqui, talvez por não fazer muito sentido para mim fazer isso sozinho, talvez as duas coisas. O fato é que eu passo a maior parte do tempo trabalhando no meu computador em casa, navegando na internet e assistindo TV (nos últimos dois dias teve uma maratona de "Twilight Zone", 50 e tantos episódios um após o outro). Bem, foi aí que a idéia do blog começou. Pode me chamar de "geek". Eu já mantenho o meu site por tanto tempo... Incluir um Blog não pode ser tão difícil assim. É claro, nós só vamos saber no futuro. Por enquanto, é isso. Vamos ver se eu consigo. |
