I'm gonna buy a mac next time - I swear....don't they just work?
Hours spent trying to figure out why the damn thing just restarts randomly. Updated the Video drivers - and now it just pukes on me "nicer". Service packs, updates, over and over again...Finally got it to the point where its stable..now the on-demand TV sound doesn't work....all other sound works.
I have real work to do you know! Well, maybe its not real work and its more like Age of Mythology...but it's still work....

Just got myself a brand spanking new computer. Intel 3.08Gig Hyperthreading with 2 Gigs of RAM with a 128MB ATI All in One 9700 Pro....can we say power? Laws yes... M-O-O-N that spells "power"...Laws yes.
Can we say...unstable?
Can we say...System Restore is my friend? Oh I love thee XP... but why do device drivers still suck? Oh the power they have over our lives. When in doubt..don't blame hardware, blame device drivers.
Can't hardware and their drivers just work - or at least work without rebooting my system if the go wonky? Don't Macs say they can do this? Hmm...Macintosh...
So, I spend my evenings tweaking drivers..settings...resolutions...and watch as my computer blue screens.
I guess its better then it was ...

I was just told how monitoring blogs can provide insigtful information or access to breaking news (such as VS.NET being available on MSDN today for example)....
Um...where would one find the time to do this exactly...I don't even have time to read all of my email (sorry Mom <blush>). Hell, I don't even know how I found the time to write this....
...if anyone reading this has any secrets of how to squeeze yet another activity into a busy day. Let me know.....I'm all ears.
Does anyone feel the same way? Am I missing some sort of blog subscription service or something... Please let me know.

For me, I get inspired by software. I’m not sure why, but truly innovative software (not just new releases of existing software like going from Office 2000 to Office XP – NO Smart Tags didn’t inspire me) really tickles my fancy. Now, new and innovative software coupled with new and innovative hardware takes me right to the edge!!!
Now, I’ve been inspired by many things over the years…Once upon a time I was inspired enough to write a book (silly me)…since then, I’ve been cautious because I found book writing somewhat painful for the general return on investment (I love to write…but not 5 hours a day from 9pm to 2am 6 days a week for 4 months with a new born at home). Now, I’ve got ants in my pants again…oh boy. Tablet PCs….Office 11….Exchange 2003…Sharepoint 2002….I’m gonna explode!!!!
But, spring is here...summer will eventually come and there are better things to do over summer then sit in my basement all night long writing for $2 per hour. And by the time summer is over...well all those who did choose to sacrifice their social and family life for some aspect of glory will have beaten me to any original idea I may have had.
Oh well...I should try to find inspiration in horses.
