[Tools] Avant Browser - tabbed IE browsing and more

Published 29 June 05 12:09 PM | CSharpener
Finally tiring of not having Mozilla-style tabbed browsing with MSIE, I somehow stumbled upon the free Avant Browser, self-billed as a "fast, stable, user-friendly, versatile multi-window browser."  Until Microsoft wakes up and gives us a new browsing toy, you may also find Avant Browser useful.  I have found it worthwhile enough to recommend it here.

As a former AvantBrowser user I can only recommend checking SlimBrowser (www.flashpeak.com). Slightly weaker popup blocker but better support for BHOs and IE toolbars. (At least last time I compared them, several months ago.)

When I first tried Avant browser I was really hooked into it. But shortly after I stumbled upon Maxthon browser (formerly known as MyIE). Both are IE based, but Maxthon experience is just slightly better. Highly recommended!
