Michael Yuan's Windows Mobile Thoughts

About myself (Michael Yuan)

My name is Michael Yuan. I am a mobile technology consultant and a PhD candidate at the University of Texas at Austin. I work with all major mobile technology platforms including J2ME, .NET Compact Framework, Symbian, WAP and MMS.

I am the author of Prentice Hall's new book "Enterprise J2ME". This is an advanced book on end-to-end mobile application design. All the examples are given in the context of J2ME/J2EE. But they are easily applicable to .NET technologies. So, go check it out. Right now, I am leading an effort to write a book on Nokia Series 40 application development. It is to be published by Addison-Wesley and Nokia later this year. In addition, I was a lead technical reviewer for three .NET Compact Framework / Windows Mobile books from Addison-Wesley.

I am starting this blog because I am giving a presentation at the upcoming Microsoft Mobile Developer Conference. More on this topic soon. OK, I already have a Windows Mobile related blog. I will cross post most of my entries to this site so that they can be aggregated by the ASP.NET main feed. But I will disable comments here -- you'd have to visit my site to leave a comment. That allows me to manage comments more effectively. I will include a link back to my site in each post.

Now, I should move some of my old posts here if you will excuse me ...

cheers
Michael
