Keithernet - It's Like Ethernet Without the Bandwidth

It's a Great New Year for ASP.NET

Before I kick off my inaugural blog post, I would like to say hello to the great ASP.NET community and thank Joe Stagner for getting this blog setup!

For those who don't know me (mostly everyone), my name is Keith Harvey and I have been doing software development and architecture for over 20 years. I gravitated to Microsoft technologies in the early days of the company and haven't looked back.

Each year Microsoft has brought the development community more reasons to be excited about writing code, architecting systems and delivering solutions. This year is even better with the release of the .NET Framework 3.5 and the Visual Studio 2008 suite of tools. It's an exciting time to be a Microsoft-focused developer - with .NET gaining more and more share of the enterprise application platform space across all sectors of business - public and private. That's fancy-talk for more cool opportunities for all of us!

Over this coming year I hope to share useful information and tips about ASP.NET, design, usability and any other topics that come to mind.

It's definitely a great new year for ASP.NET!
