Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D and Formatting Source Code
I know people make a huge deal out of having the code editor leave their source code alone, especially in HTML mark-up. Yes, VS 2005 leaves your HTML intact. However, if you're writing code samples for public consumption like I do, you probably want to apply some nesting and other formatting. The great thing is that you can just do Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D (Edit.FormatDocument macro) and the page (or selected area) is nicely aligned and formatted.
What I just learned was that this also works for Windows Forms in C# projects. As a C# fumbler, I'm really pleased to have a command that professionally indents my code.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, the Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D sequence rings a bell. Wasn't that a popular Wordstar command? I think I recall using it for something in a nice DOS editor called QEdit. Was it to delete text?
