Silverlight 2 Data Form - Episode 6: "C" is for Create

In this episode, you build a XAML form that acts like a popup, modal window. The form validates user input with WCF callbacks to ensure that the customer ID is unique. By the end of the episode, you're able to add a customer to the NorthWind database using Silverlight, VB, ADO.NET Data Services and the Entity Framework.

Here's a reminder: this series is sequential. If you haven't worked through the first five episodes, you'll find this one tough sledding because of the prerequisites.

BTW, if you think these screencasts are worthwhile, let me know?

ken, I sent an e-mail to Ilia saying your screencasts should be listed in the Videos section ofthe SilverlightShow website.

She said she would put the standalone videos there (where more people will see them in my opinion).

I'll let you know if I have any comments after I watch episodes 23456.

@avrashow: If Silverlight Streaming continues to be unreliable, I'll consider changing the hosting.

The videos aren't posted in the SilverlightShow's Videos section due to some limitation in their Web software.

Hello Mr Cox

You asked for feedback;this series is the most challenging, well performed and most enthusiastic

tutorials I ever seen(Of course I mean it).

Today Sunday morning in Sweden I reflected a bit -

if you want to perform even smarter (for the watcher),I recommend making pdf's to comapaniate each lesson. Also please if you provided code-snippets or the Solution for both VB and C#, I believe

this can be great!

Also, as you have invested a lot of time in these webcast's - Google is blocking your Site saying it is extremely dangerous - No I'm not joking!!

One more thing though; could you please teach us how to add images to our databases -  we sure not only want to play with Northwind.

Greetings from Sweden

Henrik S
