Silverlight 2 Update - Get the Developer Version

The latest Silverlight 2 update (Silverlight 2 GDR 1 (2.0.40115.0)) failed to install on my machine because it detected that I already had the developer version.

The error message and redirect to the correct file are well engineered, but developers can save some time by going straight to this page:

I noticed that the link on the Dutch edition of the error-message doesn't point to the developers edition at all. Only if you change your location to US (using the dropdown at the top of the page) do you get the direct download link.

It's go2.microsoft.com/fwlink by the way!

Hello Ken,

I had the same problem when updating to the new version but in my case I didn’t get redirected to the developer’s version installation file it was because my OS is in spanish and the content in the silverlight’s help page differs from the English version… Microsft should take a look to this proble.
