Standout Component Vendor: Telerik

I guess we all like it when others validate our opinions. I was part of Visual Studio Magazine’s “Editor’s Choice” panel this year. My choice for Top Component Vendor was Telerik and I added this:

“Telerik produces a broad range of highly functional and very attractive components. Their product support is impressive to say the least.”

It looks like everyone else on the VSM panel felt the same way:

Standout Component Vendor: Telerik
Almost to a man, our panelists enthused about Telerik's component quality, service and rapid updates. As VSM columnist Mickey Gousset noted: "I've never gone wrong using a Telerik control." Our readers agreed, overwhelmingly naming Telerik tops among all component vendors.

Good job, Telerik!

Full Disclosure: Telerik offers free licences to Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) in the Developer category. (Several other component vendors do the same.)

  • Hi, I second your opinion and specially with the ASP.NET MVC controls, they just brilliant, light and very flexible controls, its my call anyway. Thanks.

  • I have worked with all the major WPF and Silverlight controls, Infragistics, syncfusion, compoentone, Telerik, and I must say that hands down Intersoft has the best set of controls for developing WPF and Silverlight apps.

If I had to choose one set of controls to use and only one set, it would be Intersoft's WebUI Studio suite. I am not an employee of the company. Using these controls puts the developer a step ahead in the development process.

The other thing that I really appreciate and like is the thing that although Silverlight and WPF are very much alike and in future versions will probably be one product, right now there are some very real differences. Using the Intersoft controls makes those differences less obvious and truly gives the developer Silverlight and WPF with one set of code.

My voice goes to Intersoft. Thanks.
