Here is a simple Intro about me. I am a Software Design Engineer and Test in Microsoft Exchange Server team. My role in the team is to provide overall infrastructure for test automation and tools. I also involved in testing various features in transport part of the Exchange server. Current new product that i work on is called Edge Services as defined in http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/techinfo/security/EdgeServices.asp. My current role involves lot of infrastructure component development using various .NET technologies. Most of them involves Async Sockets and Remoting. I will discuss more in detail about my design and coding experience in my follow-up blogs. Currently i have been in the process of designing some DNS related component, I will talk about them in later blogs.
I also worked in PSS organization related to COM/COM+ and MTS. That role involved working closely with customers and partners related to various COM+/MTS and COM architecture and implementation issues.
I strongly feel that Pattern oriented development and Modeling based test helps to drive the quality of the product. But when we do too much abstraction, we might end up loosing lot of performance and focus on the design. I will discuss about those as well in later part of my Blogs.
