June 2004 - Posts

I'm looking forward to VSTS

I followed the Prashant's presentation about VS Team System, and I was really impressed.

I really like the actual product (or what they've showed...) but I also really like future directions (VSTS Orcas?), where they think to expand the product to the management side, to the business side and to the executive side.

Visual Studio CEO Edition?

Another great session from Rafal... but the title was misleading!

This morning I followed the Rafal's session called "New Developments in Microsoft Solutions Framework".

Rafal's was great, I really like his metaphors, but the session was very similar to other sessions he's already done at previous Tech Ed.

And the part of the presentation regarding "MSF v4" was too little I think, but perhaps at this moment there is not much to say...

Metropolis... Pat Helland's metaphor for a Service Oriented Enterprise!

Very introductive session, but very clear.

It's an eye opener to understand where we are and were we will be.

I'm sad that I had to leave the session in advance, but I hope to be able to follow the other sessions on the same topic.

Tomorrow I'm at the Ask The Experts - Visual Studio .NET booth

From 14.45 to 17.45, if you want to come and say hello, feel free to do it!

I'll be there with Microsoft staff, speakers, RDs, MVPs, (I don't know exactly who is there with me...) and I hope to be helpful...

See you tomorrow!

Rafal is great also this year!

It's incredible how can a speaker be so able to transmit concepts in a so straightforward way....

HE IS INCREDIBLE!

Getting lost in Amsterdam...

I received some comments about my bad grammar this morning...

But... hey... I was in Amsterdam from Saturday... so it already has its effects... :D

I'm joking... It's only that this morning I was at Tech Ed at 8.30... And it was very difficult considering that I went in bed at two am last night...

I hope that tomorrow the wake-up will be softer! But for today I'll use ieSpell much more...

MCT Program is changing!

Perhaps all MCT's already know it, but our beloved program is changing.

Some great announcements were made this morning at the MCT Day, and a preliminary guide will be ready in the next weeks, so stay tuned on the MCT site and newsgroups!

Tech Ed bag is horrible!

And it's not for the Holland official color (orange), that I like, but the bag is really really ugly... Is so ugly and difficult that they had to include instructions on how to wear it!

But at least it has some good suprises, like a NFR copy of Pocket Streets, and a nice hat!

Amsterdam highlights...
If you're here in Amsterdam for Tech Ed, remember to do a visit to the Van Gogh museum, to take a trip with boats to look at Amsterdam with a different perspective, and to don't spend to much time on the Red Light District :-) !!!
Informal european Tech Ed MCT Dinner

Yesterday evening after the MCT Proctor preparation there was the informal MCT dinner here in Amsterdam.

Great evening, with a lot of amusing people!

Thanks to all the people over there and especially to Microsoft for sponsoring the evening!
