My sites are ready for XP SP2 while IBM's aren't...
According to this article , IBM has told all the employees to wait to install XP SP2 until all their web applications are fixed to work with it... I know a lot of companies that have the same problems... I'm thinking that making RC1, RC2 and so on available...
MCT Program is changing!
Perhaps all MCT's already know it, but our beloved program is changing. Some great announcements were made this morning at the MCT Day, and a preliminary guide will be ready in the next weeks, so stay tuned on the MCT site and newsgroups!

The next two weeks I'll teach a seminar, in Italian, about MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework), in Milan, Verona and Rome. MSF: realizzare con successo progetti IT! I really like MSF, and I think that if it's properly used it can solve a lot of problems...
Can I tell to my students that the next version of VB...
I've a big problem... The next week I've to teach a seminar about VB 6 to .NET migration, and I'm not sure that I want to tell them that the next version of VB (no more .NET at least in the name) will allow you to write "VB6 like" Windows Forms code....
More thoughts about my previous posts... I was misunderstood....

The OO course was great... I really like teaching to smart people!
Two days later... but I've some thoughts about the OO course that I've made the end of the last week. I liked very much the course, and I had an excellent feedback. It's very nice to teach to smart people. I really don't like examples about parent/child...

I've prepared the slides for a course about Object Oriented Programming for tomorrow. It's a lot of time that I don't teach a course like this, and I couldn't resist to put some slide about SOA and all the hype about Web Services. The course is for VB6...

Using NERO 6 to handle the VS2005 CTP image
I've downloaded the huge 2.6 Gb image of Visual Studio 2005 CTP, and I've mounted it using Nero Image Drive bundled with the Nero 6 package. It recognizes only .nrg (it's own format) and .iso images. The trick was to rename the .img Visual Studio image...
Downloaded and installed VS6 SP6... Everything is still running fine at the moment :-)
I've downloaded the new SP6 for Visual Studio 6.0 (do you remenber... it was the pre-.NET era... when the dinosaurs ruled the world... many many years ago :D) and everything seems to run as expected. The download is only for MSDN Universal Subscribers...
